Purpose: To provide health care professionals with increased knowledge and competency regarding clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and management strategies of Lyme disease, thus equipping them to provide education and tools to patients affected by Lyme disease.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the etiology and relevant diagnostic criteria associated with Lyme disease.
  • Describe the signs, symptoms, and clinical manifestations associated with Lyme disease.
  • Develop an individualized plan for the treatment of Lyme disease based on clinical manifestation and patient characteristics.
  • Educate patients on the prevention of Lyme disease and what to do in the case of a tick bite.
