Purpose: To increase healthcare provider knowledge on the diagnosis and management of resistant hypertension, with a particular focus on populations at higher risk of resistance.

  • Review blood pressure measurements and additional considerations when diagnosing patients with resistant hypertension
  • Outline pharmacologic treatment options for resistant hypertension
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with resistant hypertension based on patient-specific comorbidities and factors
