Purpose: To increase the healthcare provider’s knowledge of the importance of naloxone dispensing, available formulations of naloxone, and strategies to increase access to naloxone options.

  • Compare formulations of naloxone available for reversal of opioid overdose
  • Describe the naloxone standing order and dispensing options in Illinois
  • Recognize and address barriers to naloxone access
