Purpose: To increase the healthcare provider’s knowledge of the clinical burden of asthma, current guideline recommendations for asthma management, and the rationale for single-inhaler maintenance and reliever therapy (SMART/MART), enabling them to effectively assess patients, integrate MART into personalized treatment plans, and improve overall asthma management and patient outcomes.

  • Describe the rationale for single-inhaler maintenance and reliever therapy (MART) in asthma treatment
  • Summarize the stepwise approach to asthma management, with emphasis on the integration of single-inhaler MART
