Amina is a clinical pharmacist and clinical instructor with the Medication Review and Academic Detailing department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Carleton College in 2006 and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UIC College of Pharmacy in 2012. Amina works in managed care with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and has done so since graduating from UIC 8 years ago. Her role includes reviewing prior authorizations, creating medical content, developing criteria for opioid approvals on the pain management team, and providing monthly medication therapy management services to geriatric patients at senior centers throughout Chicago.
