Karly is a clinical pharmacist and clinical instructor with the Medication Review and Academic Detailing department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from Butler University. Karly worked as a clinical staff pharmacist at the UIC Medical Center before transitioning to her current role in managed care at UIC where she reviews prior authorizations for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Practices. She trained with NaRCAD in 2019 to develop her skills as an academic detailer. Karly’s interests include academic detailing focusing on chronic pain management, infectious disease, and patient education.
